Seida ensemble is string group, formed of some of the most compelling young musicians in Britain and Europe. They are focused on using the value of live music to build community, enhance well-being and create a sustainable model for the future of classical music.

Their three main focuses are:

Seida [sai-dah]: a person's unique intuitive musical spirit communicated and perceived through musical participation.

Seida is a word we created, inspired by the Nordic word ‘Seidr’ which is an ancient form of magic used to shape the future. We acknowledge that every performer and listener has their own Seida.

Seida Ensemble is made up of twelve different Seidas, each bringing their own dimension of creativity to the process and performance.

We commit to communicating with each and every Seida in our audience too and believe that classical music can be felt at the deepest levels by anyone, anywhere.
